The perfect systems for high-quality packaging
Corona and plasma surface treatments for materials such as films and cardboard packaging open up a wide range of possibilities in the packaging industry. More often than not, surfaces always need to be activated in this way before they are ready for coating and bonding processes, or to bond together different layers of materials.
When producing high-quality packaging, it is furthermore not only important that the print on the packaging matches that quality, but that the final packaging finish does so as well. Treating packaging material surfaces with corona and plasma treatments significantly improves the adhesion of ink, adhesive strips, protective films, labels, coatings and bonded fabric elements.
Used in conjunction with our calvasol® technology, they make it possible to create useful surface properties like adhesion, release, antifog, antistatic, barrier and antimicrobial in a single process step. This generates cost savings and makes packaging easier to recycle.
Our innovative plasma jet can be used, among other things, to treat moulded parts and profiles in a cold or hot phase and hence makes it easy to increase the adhesive properties of a wide range of materials to the required level.
Our new, reliable and efficient calvamas® VISIONcube systems are optical measuring systems for measuring a surface’s level of wettability with a camera and allow our systems to seamlessly communicate with one another. Once measured, the data is saved and retrieved by the main machine, which minimises the use of set-up film. This not only saves raw materials, but also significantly increases the reliability of the production process.
